It would be good if some publishers reprinted The Berlin Diary by William Shirer. It is a journal of American journalist who worked in Germany in the 1930s and witnessed a Nazi regime. Or translated the trilogy Inwazja by Wojtek Miłoszewski from Polish to English. It's a piece of alternative history where Russia tries to invade Europe, not only Ukraine.
